Heel height and shape change what an outfit can carry. Block heels distribute weight across a wider base, which makes them the most forgiving option for dance floors, uneven venue flooring, and anyone new to wearing heels regularly — they read as polished without the balance trade-off of a stiletto. Stiletto heels are the sharpest, most formal option, best saved for events where you’re mostly standing or seated rather than dancing all evening, and where the outfit itself is fitted enough to want an equally sharp shoe underneath. Kitten heels split the difference: enough lift to elevate an outfit, low enough to wear through a full workday or a long function without the fatigue a 3-4 inch heel brings by the end of the night.

Matching heels to an occasion is mostly about how long you’ll be standing. For mehndi and dholki, where there’s dancing and moving between tables, a block heel or a wedge-style heel is the practical choice. For barat, nikkah and walima — where you’re seated for photos and the stage more than you’re walking — a stiletto or a more delicate strappy heel can take priority over comfort, since the wear time on your feet is shorter. For office wear or daily formal dressing, a kitten heel or a low block heel is what most of our customers reach for again and again, since it works across a full day without needing to be swapped for flats by the afternoon.

Sizing matters more for heels than almost any other footwear category, because an ill-fitting heel doesn’t just feel uncomfortable — it changes your balance. Our sizing runs 6 to 11; if your foot tends to swell by evening (common during long wedding days or in Pakistan’s summer heat), sizing slightly up is safer than sizing true-to-foot, since a heel that’s marginally loose is far easier to manage than one that pinches after a few hours. For width, a strap across the ankle or a T-strap style holds a slightly looser fit securely, which is worth considering if you know your feet swell during long events.

Because heels take direct, concentrated impact at the base — far more than a flat sole spreads it — the heel tip and sole wear faster than any other part of the shoe, especially on rough or wet surfaces. Avoid wearing formal heels on unpaved or gravel surfaces where possible, wipe embellished straps with a dry cloth rather than water, and store heels upright or in their box rather than piled with other shoes, where a heel tip can bend under the weight of other pairs.
